PERQUIMANS Co., N.C. - A person was killed in a Saturday night crash in Perquimans County, according to Perquimans County Emergency Services.
Dispatch received a call for the crash at 8:37 p.m., and officers responded to the intersection of Lake Road and Chapanoke Road. According to Chief Bobby Swayne with the InterCounty Fire Department, the crash required "extensive extrication."
One of the vehicle's occupants died from their injuries on scene. There is no word on if anyone else was injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the NC State Highway Patrol.
