PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 600 block of Jefferson Street that left a man injured Thursday night.
The call came in at 9:05 p.m.
Police say the man suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment for his injuries that are said to be non-life-threatening.
There is no further information.
