NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating a shooting in the 1000 block of 34th Street that left a 15-year-old injured Monday afternoon.

Officials say they received a call around 3:30 p.m., regarding a walk-in gunshot victim at a local hospital.

There was an initial call of gunshots heard in the 1000 block of 34th Street at approximately 3:13 p.m.

The 15-year-old's injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

Police say there is no suspect information at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.

Callers are eligible for a reward up to $1000 with information leading to an arrest.
