NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead Friday evening.
Police say around 11:38 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 600 block of 25th Street .
Upon arrival, officers found 23-year-old Stephen White III suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officials say White was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police, three males fled the area just after the shooting based on surveillance footage.
