The Portsmouth Police Department responded to a homicide in the 1600 block of Charleston Avenue around 1:28 a.m. That's near Deep Creek Boulevard just south of I-264.
Upon arrival, police say 62-year-old Anthony Brown was suffering from a gunshot wound. Brown's family has been notified.
