PORTSMOUTH, Va. - The Portsmouth Police Department is searching for a person of interest in connection with a January 3 homicide.
According to police, the department's Major Crimes Unit is trying to locate an unknown black male. Photos of the man were provided by police and attached above.
Dispatch received a call about a man with a gunshot wound to his upper body around 12:13 a.m. January 3. Officers responded to the 20 block of Merrimac Drive, where they located the victim, identified as 32-year-old Tony Lamont Deans.
Deans was declared dead on scene.
