Several units respond to house fire in Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Williamsburg Fire Department, York County Department of Fire and Life Safety, and James City County Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Waller for reports of a fire.

The call for the fire came in around 2:19 a.m., Tuesday. The first unit that arrived on scene at 2:23 a.m. said they found an exterior fire affecting the structure.

Reports say the fire was quickly extinguished and was contained mostly to the exterior of the structure. The fire was quickly marked under control within fifteen minutes after the first unit arrived. Around 20 firefighters responded to the incident.

The City of Williamsburg’s Community Risk Reduction team is currently investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
