The Virginia Peninsula Food Bank is in desperate need of donations. Organizers said the shelves are bare.
"Virginia Peninsula Foodbank just completed the end of our fiscal year on Friday, June 30, and did a complete inventory count," said Karen Joyner, the CEO of the food bank. "The numbers are as low as I have ever seen them."
