VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Two people have been arrested after a man was shot while in his vehicle in the 5500 block of Lynnhaven Parkway Thursday afternoon.

Twenty-two-year-old E'ze Anyanwu Pritchard of Virginia Beach was arrested and charged with multiple firearm violations, including the use of a firearm in commission of a felony, felonious assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Twenty-four-year-old Verneka Lynnae Wiggins of Virginia Beach was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact in a felony.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in his vehicle on Lynnhaven Parkway when he was shot. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police believe that the suspects and victim did not known each other, and they don't believe this incident was a random act of violence.

Southbound Lynnhaven Parkway was closed at Magnolia Run Circle Thursday afternoon while police investigated.

This case is still being actively investigated by the Virginia Beach Police Department's investigative division.
