Standard testing won't be enforced in schools for grades K-12

The president announced that standardized testing requirements won't be enforced for students in grades K-12.

He made this announcement during his press conference Friday that informed the public of some major updates, including the suspension of all non-essential travel between US and Mexico. The travel restrictions go into effect on Saturday.

Schools in Virginia and North Carolina began closing down earlier this month, when the first known cases hit the states.

As of now, students in schools all over the country are adapting to online learning amid a pandemic.

The Chancellor for Virginia’s Community CollegesGlenn DuBois, said that no commenment ceremonies will take place in May due to the coronavirus.
