SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police arrested a man accused of raping a young girl.
Officials say they arrested Decorelle Jermaine Demiel, 35, of Suffolk on Tuesday on charges including Taking Indecent Liberties with Child Under Age 15; Rape – Victim Helpless or Mentally Incapacitated; Taking Indecent Liberties With Child Under Age 15; Sale/Distribute Marijuana; and Purchase Alcohol for Unauthorized Person.
The alleged rape happened at a home in the city during the evening of January 17, and the victim is said to be a girl Demiel knows. Police did not say exactly how old she is.
Demiel is currently being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
