Suffolk Police: No criminal intent, no charges filed after report of possible child abduction involving Lyft driver

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police have completed their investigation into a possible child abduction that supposedly happened in the 7300 block of Harbour Towne Parkway Thursday morning.

Dispatchers received a call regarding the incident at 11:22 a.m.

Police say an 11-month old child was reported to have been abducted by a Lyft driver. By 12:36 p.m., the child had been located and returned safely to the family.

On Friday, police announced that the investigation into this incident has been completed. Police interviewed the Lyft driver and determined there was no criminal intent and no charges will be filed.
