Suffolk Police investigating shooting that left man injured

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting in the 600 block of Virginia Avenue that left a man injured Tuesday night.

Dispatchers received a shots fired call at 8:47 p.m. While investigating in the area, officers found 32-year-old Perdell Antonio Turner suffering from a gunshot wound.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel gave the victim received emergency medical assessment and treatment and ground transported him to a local hospital for treatment. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.

The investigation is in its early stages, and there is no further information at this time.
