VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Let's get this out of the way now -- These milkshakes will bring everyone to The Yard.
The Yard Milkshake Bar, known for its decadent, over-the-top milkshakes is now open in Virginia Beach.
The shake shop originated in Gulf Shores, Alabama, where the first location opened in 2017. The owners then took their idea to Shark Tank and that's where Virginia Beach franchisees Anthony and Kelly DiPasquale saw it.
Milkshakes start at $8 for a pint, but the shakes that made The Yard famous will run you $15.
Choose from three dozen ice cream flavors and countless toppings to make your own or order one off the specialty menu.
In true Virginia Beach fashion, the Orange Crushed and Seaside Sensation are highlighted as the Local Favorites.
The DiPasquales tell News 3 they opened a couple weeks ago and they couldn't be happier with how things are going -- often arriving to a line waiting for the doors to open.
"I just saw a need that I think everyone would respond well and they did and it’s great," said Anthony. "The only reason I built this business was to make smiles, make milkshakes during a really difficult time.”
The Yard Milkshake Bar opens daily at 11 a.m.
