CHESAPEAKE, Va. - A woman in Chesapeake is upset that a delivery driver did not handle her package with care.
Virginia Slocum sent News 3 footage from her Nest video doorbell showing a FedEx driver throwing her package from her front yard onto her porch.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. Thursday.
Slocum told us the package contained a Christmas present for her son. Thankfully, she said it didn't appear to be damaged.
In a Zoom interview with News 3 Thursday night, Slocum also shared that the driver yelled, "Three!" as if she were making a three-point shot in basketball, which can be heard in the video.
She said to her knowledge, that particular driver had never made a delivery to her home before and that she made a complaint with FedEx. She is waiting to hear back.
"I do a lot of online ordering, I've got two young children at home, and it does make me think twice [about ordering online] now because with the holiday season coming up and a lot of ordering taking place, I can't risk things getting broken and being delivered that way. So, I hope they change their course," Slocum said.
We also reached out to FedEx for a statement on the incident but have not yet heard back. We will update this story once we do.
