VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Killing COVID-19 is becoming big business for a Virginia Beach disinfecting company that is fighting off the virus with fog.

Business has been booming for Viradecon, a company that uses a non-toxic liquid to fog facilities and disinfect them.

Owner John Kuchta started the company after the pandemic. He says it kills coronavirus in two minutes.

“Once it’s dry, we certify that there’s no COVID present in the facility,” says Kuchta.

It's a big promise Kutcha says is backed by the EPA certification of product.

Kuchta says he is servicing “everything from churches; restaurants are huge right now; a lot of office buildings and even doing some post office.”

The company focuses on high-touch surfaces like tables, chairs and doorknobs. And what’s great is that it’s safe for customers and kills the virus.

The product disinfects, but only until the next person touches the surface.

Ballyhoos restaurant in Virginia Beach is on the long list of clients. Owner Craig Davis says he has his restaurant disinfected three times a week because of the high volume of customers that come to the restaurant.

“To get every nook and cranny and under the table legs. Those items, they’re harder to reach, harder to get to. So, to me, it gave us a little extra confidence.”

Kuchta says he’s currently servicing around 100 clients a week and he thinks the business will continue to do well in years to come.

“I think unfortunately just like after 9/11, security never went back to the way it was. I think after this pandemic there’s certain things that just aren’t going to go back to the way they were,” says Kuchta.
