The Virginia Department of Health confirmed 2,637 cases of coronavirus in the state as of Sunday, an increase of 230 from the previous day.
Fifty-one deaths have been reported due to the virus, with 431 hospitalizations and almost 24,000 people tested.
As of Saturday, coronavirus cases in the United States were nearly at 300,000, with more than 8,000 deaths reported nationwide.
