VIRGINIA - Governors of the nation's hotspots, and some who see coronavirus cases rising, are calling on the Federal Government to help with testing, hospital funding, and their small businesses.

On Sunday morning, Governor Northam was on CNN's State of the Union and he addressed this. He pushed back on White House claims that states have what they need for coronavirus testing.

Right now, wide scale testing is key to states reopening businesses and this is something President Trump is eager to see as unemployment numbers increase and economic concerns also rise.

But now we’re starting to see governors like Northam demand for more personal protective equipment and testing for their states.

“We have been fighting every day for PPE. And we have got some supplies now coming in. We have been fighting for testing. It's not a straightforward test. We don't even have enough swabs, believe it or not. And we're ramping that up. But for the national level to say that we have what we need, and really to have no guidance to the state levels, is just irresponsible, because we're not there yet," Northam declared on Sunday.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin says right now the administration is balancing priorities.
