JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. - State Police is investigating a train-involved crash that took place Sunday afternoon.
According to officials, police responded to a crash around 3:30 p.m. involving a CSX train at intersection of Airport Road and Richmond Road.
Police say the driver of a 2020 Toyota minivan, Kimberly Allan, attempted to cross the tracks despite train crossing warning lights. While approaching the track the railroad crossing arm came down on Allan's vehicle.
According to police, Allan attempted to reverse her vehicle but was unsuccessful and was struck by the passing train.
Officials say there were no injuries reported.
Troopers are still on-scene investigating and the area is currently blocked at this time.
