ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. - A woman has died from her injuries after being struck from behind by another vehicle on February 22.

Officials say the crash occurred on South Church Street around 3:27 p.m.

The driver of a 2018 Honda Odyssey, Henry Hearn Jr., was traveling north on South Church Street, when he slowed to make a right turn into the Supreme gas station.

He was then struck from behind by a 2008 Ford Fusion, driven by a 17-year-old male.

Police say the front seat passenger of the Odyssey, Nancy Hearn, was taken to the hospital to be treated for life threatening injuries as a result of the impact.

Officials say Hearn died from her injuries Sunday night.

According to officials, all parties were wearing their safety belts.

The 17-year-old male was charged with unsafe speed for roadway conditions.
