ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. - A passenger was seriously injured after being struck from behind by another vehicle Monday afternoon.
Officials say the crash occurred on South Church Street around 3:27 p.m.
The driver of a 2018 Honda Odyssey, Henry Hearn Jr., was traveling north on South Church Street, when he slowed to make a right turn into the Supreme gas station.
He was then struck from behind by a 2008 Ford Fusion, driven by a 17-year-old male.
Police say the front seat passenger of the Odyssey, Nancy Hearn, suffered life threatening injuries as a result of the impact. According to officials, all parties were wearing their safety belts.
The 17-year-old male was charged with unsafe speed for roadway conditions.
