VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – There’s a new women’s boutique in the ViBe Creative District. It’s called Pixelated Boutique.

“Our style is modern Bohemian, beach living, casual living lifestyle with a tiny bit of eclectic,” described owner Vy Do.

Do graduated from Virginia Tech in 2019 and started the business online, but she knew she wanted to open a brick-and-mortar boutique.

“When everything started shutting down, it really pushed us back a lot, through working with vendors or communicating with contractors,” explained Do.

The young entrepreneur says the boutique has been a joint effort. Her sister, Livvy Do, has helped a lot, and their father built most of the fixtures for the shop.

The COVID-19 pandemic delayed the start and it opened in late December, which is a pretty quiet time near the Oceanfront.

“I was ready to give up, but she kept on pushing forward,” said younger sister, Livvy Do. “If it wasn’t for her determination, this would have not happened. I just really admire how ambitious she is.”

Livvy is still in college, attending Virginia Tech. Last semester, she was doing virtual classes and staying home, helping with the boutique. She is taking classes in person again and while there, helping with online aspects of the business.

The sisters held a Galentine’s Day event recently and are planning a spring event for late March.

The Pixelated Boutique is at 315 Virginia Beach Boulevard.
