NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion men's basketball's games against James Madison and George Mason have been canceled because of positive COVID-19 tests within the Dukes and Patriots organizations.
The Monarchs were scheduled to face JMU in Harrisonburg Monday, December 7. Their game against George Mason was scheduled to take place at Richmond's Siegel Center on Sunday, December 13.
ODU released a statement Saturday afternoon:
"Based on information received from James Madison and George Mason concerning their men's basketball programs, the away games on Dec. 7 and Dec. 13 have been canceled. Follow ODUSports.com and ODU Athletics social media for any updates this season concerning ODU Basketball scheduling."
The Monarchs' next matchup will be a game at Virginia Commonwealth University next Saturday.

James Madison men's basketball has paused all team activities following a positive COVID-19 test within the program.

In accordance with contact tracing guidelines, Saturday's contest against Maryland will not be played as scheduled.
