MYRTLE BEACH, SC - It was quite a 17th birthday present for Virginia Beach Muay Thai phenom Summer Bronco.

Saturday in Myrtle Beach, as part of the East Coast Fall Classic at the Landmark Resort, Bronco won the International Kickboxing Federation (IKF) United States Junior Lightweight Championship. Summer defeated Nosyaj Kamaunu to win the belt.

Bronco, who trains with Jose Aguirre at East Side Muay Thai, is already the first American fighter to ever hold the World Boxing Council's (WBC) Junior Muay Thai championship belt.

Last month, News 3 featured the then-16 year-old Bronco and her challenge to find adults to fight her now that she's eligible to get into the ring with more than just juniors.
