NORFOLK, Va. - Chartway Arena's box office, the multi-purpose arena on the campus of Old Dominion University, closed Monday due to all of its events through the end of March being postponed or canceled due to the outbreak of COVID-19. While the arena won't be in use, Chartway Arena has put some its food items to good use.
On March 13, Aramark/Monarch Dining Services partnered with 15 volunteer staff members from ODU to assemble 100 "ODUCares" food bags that included fresh produce. Monarch Dining coordinated to have food from its locations across campus, including Monarch Catering at Chartway Arena, to be brought to the new Catering Kitchen in Webb University Center. The bags were then distributed to the ODU Community.
