Police investigating homicide after man shot and killed during Virginia Beach Oceanfront shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Police are investigating a homicide out of the city of Virginia Beach on Monday.

Around 12:32 a.m., dispatch received a call in regards to a shooting that had taken place in the 3000 block of Pacific Avenue.

Police located a man who had been shot and killed when they arrived on the scene, report say.

The is the third shooting reported and second fatal shooting to have taken place in Virginia Beach within a day.

On Sunday, one man was found shot in the 3700 block of Whitney Court and another man was found injured from a gunshot in the 3800 block of Keelboat Circle, according to police. A fatal shooting also took place on Sunday in the 4300 block of Pleasant Valley Road. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and another was injured, according to police.

Homicide Detectives are actively investigating the homicide case and there is currently no suspect information.
