Meteorologist April Loveland's First Warning Forecast

A dry cold front will move through tonight. We're not expecting any rain from it. Just some cooler temperatures and more cloud cover.

High pressure will build in again on Tuesday and Wednesday bringing more sunshine to the area. It will be cooler on Tuesday with highs in the mid 40s with winds out of the north at 10-15 mph, a few higher gusts possible. This will make temperatures feel closer to the 30s during the day.

A bit milder on Wednesday with highs in the lower 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Our next big system is set to move in on New Year's Eve. Right now, the models are still in disagreement, but it looks like the showers will move in during the afternoon on New Year's Eve. It will be a bit breezy with winds out of the south at 10-15 mph with higher gusts. Temperatures will soar into the upper 60s. Rain will continue overnight and into New Year's Day. It will be very mild with temperatures warming into the 70s. Expect showers and storms for most of the day. The cold front will move out late Friday into Saturday.

Saturday is looking dry and mostly sunny and still a bit on the mild side with highs in the upper 50s to near 60 due to a southerly wind. Temperatures will start to trend cooler on Sunday with highs only in the upper 40s.
