The holiday weekend continues with mainly dry conditions despite some additional cloudiness.
You'll notice a dip in temperatures compared to just yesterday. Highs Sunday will be split between the coast and inland areas. Expect highs near the coast to only reach the mid/upper 60s, yet inland Virginia and North Carolina will top out near 75. We will see a mix of clouds through the day, with partly cloudy skies inland and mostly cloudy skies near the coast.
Sunshine will return for Memorial Day. After a cloudy start expect a gradual clearing into the afternoon. Most areas will only reach to near 70, which will be 5-10 degrees below normal for this time of year. 80s are coming back within a matter of days with each day for the week ahead being progressively warmer than the previous day.
