Showers overnight, mainly in North Carolina. Lows in the mid/upper 30s to near 40.

A few lingering showers possible for North Carolina early Monday morning, followed by clearing skies. The rest of the viewing area is looking dry with more sunshine than clouds for President's Day. Temperatures will warm to the mid 50s.

Some good changes to Tuesday's forecast as the cold front looks like it will slow down. That means that most of the daylight hours Tuesday is looking dry. Temperatures will be warm with highs in the upper 60s to near 70! A strong cold front will move through late Tuesday and Wednesday. This will bring some rain to the area overnight Tuesday into the day Wednesday. Temperatures will be cooler with highs in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Another big cool down on Thursday with highs only in the upper 30s and low 40s. Expect skies to be mostly cloudy throughout the day. We could see a couple snowflakes or a rain/snow mix in our inland communities late Thursday as some moisture moves in along with the much colder air. Right now, it's a little too far out to pinpoint for sure, but we are keeping it on our radar. Skies will clear overnight, which will allow temperatures to plummet into the upper 20s and low 30s, with wind chills in the upper teens Friday morning. High temperatures on Friday will struggle to get out of the 30s. Brr! It will be a blustery day with winds out of the north.

The weekend is looking dry and milder. Temperatures will warm to the low 50s on Saturday and upper 50s on Sunday.
