Meteorologist April Loveland's First Warning Forecast

Partly cloudy overnight with lows in the mid and upper 40s.

Clouds increase Easter Sunday, but conditions are looking mainly dry. Temperatures will be milder with highs in the low and mid 70s. A warm front will lift over the area Sunday night with temperatures only falling to the low 60s. Storm chances will increase overnight. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire area under a Level 1 for severe weather, which means an isolated severe storm is not out of the question. We will continue to keep an eye on this. As of now, we're not seeing anything too impressive, but those storms chances will ramp up on Monday.

Monday is a First Warning Action Day. We are tracking the chance of strong to severe storms. The biggest threat will be damaging wind gusts, but a tornado is not out of the question. The Storm Prediction Center has the entire area until a Level 2 for severe weather, which means scattered severe storms are possible. The best chance to see strong to severe storms will be Monday morning through the afternoon. Another disturbance will move through during the afternoon giving us another chance for storms. High temperatures will be near 80 degrees. It will turn windy behind the front with winds out of the south at 20-25 with gusts 40-45 mph. High pressure will build in overnight with partly cloudy skies and lows in the mid 50s.

Tuesday is looking mostly dry, but much cooler. Expect a 15-20 degree temperature drop with highs in the low 60s. A slight chance of showers late Tuesday, but we'll have better chances for wet weather on Wednesday, along with another big drop in temperatures. Expect highs in the low and mid 50s. This will be the coolest day of the week.

Thursday is looking milder and drier with highs in the low 60s. Temperatures will be near-normal to end the week with highs in the mid 60s. Another system will move in just in time for the weekend. This will give us a chance for more wet weather.
