Meteorologist April Loveland's First Warning Forecast

FLASH FLOOD WARNING in effect for Hertford and Northampton County in North Carolina until 1:30 AM Wednesday. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Murfreesboro, Chowan University, Barretts Crossroad and Mapleton. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Partly cloudy and humid overnight with lows in the low 70s.

Temperatures will be very seasonal on Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the mid and upper 80s. We will once again have a chance for some afternoon storms. We will have a better chance to see scattered storms on Wednesday with a 50/50 shot. We'll have a 30 percent chance for storms on Thursday.

A bit hotter on Friday with highs near 90 under mostly sunny skies. It will actually feel close to 100 with the humidity!

Storm chances will go up a bit for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. Expect highs in the upper 80s with a chance for afternoon scattered storms.
