After generally cool weather this May, we've been getting a little taste of summer the past few days, with heat, humidity and afternoon thunderstorms. And it looks like that trend is going to linger into the weekend. We're expecting highs in the low-to-mid 80s the next few days with a 50-60% chance for showers and storms. But a powerful cold front moving through late Saturday will help "reset" our atmosphere, with lower temperatures, lower humidity and lots of sunshine. And it looks like that trend will continue well into next week before we start to heat back up later next week.
