Meteorologist April Loveland's First Warning Forecast:
**Winter Storm Warning in effect for Sussex County through Friday morning.
Flood Watch continues overnight, then finally dry this weekend...
The waves of rainfall we had throughout the day will continue overnight. A Flash Flood watch remains in effect through Friday morning for most of the area. Freezing rain will again be possible overnight, for areas along and west of I-95, with more ice accumulation. Lows will be in the low 30s near the freezing mark.
Friday will feature cloudy skies with more waves of rainfall during the morning and afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 30s and low 40s.
Craving more sunshine? Thankfully, we're expecting the skies to clear and sunshine to return just in time for the weekend... but so does the cold air. Highs will struggle to hit 40 on Saturday with strong NW winds. We will reach the low 40s on Sunday with lighter winds.
Rain returns on Monday with a nice warm up next week. Highs will climb to the low 50s on Monday and continue to warm to near 60 on Wednesday!
