According to Virginia Beach circuit court documents, authorities found "fetish videos" including "teacher/student scenarios" and "sexualized spanking" on former Landstown High School math teacher Michael Shanklin's computer after they arrested him for spanking a female student in his classroom in January.
NewsChannel uncovered the information in court documents after Shanklin was indicted on federal child pornography charges Wednesday.
Court documents indicate authorities made the disturbing discovery while they were investigating the January spanking incident. The girl told police Shanklin said "I get a lot of joy and pleasure out of this" as he spanked her two dozen times.

While Shanklin was on bond in July, prosecutors filed a motion to revoke his bond. It said "a forensic examination" of Shanklin's computer revealed "40 images of bondage, sexualized spanking, father/daughter scenarios, and teacher/ student scenarios." The motion goes on to say it was all "fetish videos."
Prosecutors wrote in the order that the examination also revealed "nearly 70 videos of child pornography" that showed "girls ages seven to ten" performing various sexual acts with adult men".
Last month, a judge sentenced Shanklin to a year in jail after he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual battery charges. He has another trial scheduled in Virginia Beach in December on abduction charges related to the spanking incident.
He faces up to 20 years in prison on the federal child pornography charges.
