What started out as a Black power movement is now helping kids in the area.
The Afro Dogs of Hampton are holding their annual event giving away back-to-school supplies.
Last year, kids received backpacks loaded with goodies.
This group’s good deeds earned them a People Taking Action Award last year.
Now they are gearing up for another giveaway later on this month.
They tell NewsChannel 3 that they do this to fulfill their Afro Dog Mission, which stands for Doing Only Good Service.
They all have special biker names that actually mean something. Of course, they had to give a special name to NewsChannel 3’s Kurt Williams.
They came up with the name Kurt “Scoop Dog” Williams.
