Meteorologist April Loveland’s First Warning Forecast

Showers and storms move out tonight giving way to partly cloudy skies. Lows tonight in the lower 70s. Areas of patchy fog will likely develop late tonight into tomorrow morning.

Over the next few days, showers and storms will be possible as a front stalls across the area. However, no day looks like a complete washout through the holiday weekend. So, going through our Friday, expect a mix of sun and clouds and scattered rain and storms, mainly in the afternoon. Highs will warm up into the lower 90s, but because of the humidity, it will feel much hotter. On both Saturday and Sunday, scattered rain and storms will be possible, but again, a washout isn’t expected. Saturday will be the pick of the weekend with a 20% chance of showers and storms and greater chances heading into Sunday.

On the 4th of July, more scattered showers and storms are possible. Otherwise, we’ll see partly sunny skies. Highs will be in the mid 80s. The threat for storms continues into Tuesday as a lot of us head back to work. High will be in the mid and upper 80s.

Thursday night: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Showers/Storms (20-30%). Lows near 70. Winds: SE/S 5-10 mph.

Friday: Partly Sunny, Scattered Showers/Storms (40%). Highs in the upper 80s. Winds: SW 5-15 mph.

Friday night: Scattered showers and storms possible. Lows in the lower 70s.
