PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Shannon Glover is projected to be the new mayor of Portsmouth.
The business owner beat out five other people for the seat after Mayor John Rowe announced he would not run for reelection.
Glover ran against fellow business owner and current Portsmouth City Councilmember Paul Battle; Tony Goodwin, who is in real estate; Former City Councilmember Danny Meeks; Cliff Page Jr., a sculptor who's never held political office; and Donna Sayegh, who is retired.
