NORFOLK, Va. - Spinning dough and popping a pizza in the oven is the normal at Mona Lisa’s Restaurant, but they are adding some new dishes to their menu for Easter Sunday.

“For $50 it serves 6-8 people. You get a pan of spiral ham, mashed potatoes and gravy; you get garlic bread, stuffing, green beans and macaroni and cheese,” says Tommy Posilero. He owns Mona Lisa’s Restaurant in Norfolk.

Because of the coronavirus and social distancing concerns closing dining areas, restaurants are offering Easter menus for pick-up or delivery.

“We have over 15 orders right now and we got five more today,” adds Posilero.

If your family tends to eat earlier in the day, Four Eleven York has some options.

“We are excited to be able to serve some of our regulars who were with us for brunch last year,” said Malia Paasch.

That also goes for new customers who looking to support local farms.

“We are sourcing a local lamb from Meadow Pride Farm, so ‘Virginia Like a Lamb’ is one of the entree choices. And we are also doing a cedar salmon,” Passch adds.

While some people are ordering, other families may prefer a home-cooked meal featuring a some good old Virginia ham. The owner of Old Virginia Ham Shop says they’re busy preparing deliveries.

“Last year, it was well over 1,000 hams,” Dana Bright.

And it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down this year.

“Boneless hams and we have signature Virginia Country hams. Everything is going fast at this point, but we do have plenty left,” adds Bright.

The Old Virginia Ham Shop is also giving away hams to families in need and essential workers on the front line. Click here to submit someone you know.
