YORK COUNTY, Va.- The York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office reported a body found behind Tabb Library Monday afternoon.

Police officials say they responded to a suspicious incident in the 100 block of Long Green Boulevard that led to a death investigation.

Police say they were able to determine that the case originated in Norfolk and the victim, identified as 45-year-old Norfolk woman Marcia Dumas, was not a York County resident.

Two individuals have been charged by York-Poquoson Detectives. 42-year-old Robert Carroll Jr., of Norfolk, has been charged with Strangulation of Another, Prohibition Against Concealment of a Dead Body, and Unlawful Disposal of a Dead Body. 43-year-old Kevin Dunn, of Norfolk, has been charged with Unlawful Disposal of a Dead Body.

The Norfolk Police Department will now take over the investigation and handle any statements, questions or concerns relating to the death investigation.

“I am very proud of the work done by all of my deputies and staff. The Investigations Division did an outstanding job of determining. I would also like to thank our citizens for providing us with a lot of information that in turn helped us solve the case," Sherriff Diggs said.

Carroll Jr. and Dunn are being held at Norfolk City Jail without bond.
