HAMPTON ROADS, VA—The Portsmouth Police Department is seeking a few good men and women to serve on its police force. The city is hosting a hiring event for new officers, and they are looking for applicants who are 21 or older and want to become community leaders, not just enforcers for the city.
PPD offers incentives to encourage people to apply, including paid training and a highly competitive pay rate.
