HAMPTON ROADS, VA—Reports indicate 1 in 10 adults over 60 experience some form of elder abuse. To thwart this issue, the Peninsula Agency on Aging is launching a new campaign called “Hidden in Plain Sight.”
Realizing there often is shame, fear, and confusion involved in this form of abuse, PAA is offering tips for friends and neighbors who may suspect elder abuse.
