HAMPTON ROADS, VA—Mia Carreras has taken a sabbatical from her career to help women experiencing hair loss from cancer treatment, alopecia, or other medical conditions. Her design is a head covering called Crowned by Terre, which gives dignity to women with hair loss.
Some with hair loss find wigs too hot in our humid climate, so putting on the pre-styled head wrap is a simple grab-it-and-go process.
Carreeras has already partnered with some medical centers to provide her wraps for patients, and she's looking to partner with other hospitals, cancer centers, nonprofits and community organizations.
