HAMPTON ROADS, VA—It is estimated that 92% of maternal deaths happen in low or lower-middle-income areas, with 260 thousand women dying following pregnancy in 2023. To lower these statistics, particularly in Hampton Roads, Sentara and the American Heart Association have teamed up for Uniting for Maternal Health on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
