HAMPTON, Va. — A vehicle fire outside Langley Air Force Base's La Salle Gate prompted a brief closure and an investigation on Monday, a public affairs officer told News 3.
The public affairs officer told News 3 around 9:55 a.m. and said emergency personnel responded to the incident. The official described the fire as being "self-contained," adding that no injuries were reported as a result.
The La Salle Gate and Visitor Control Center have since been reopened.
The cause of the fire is unknown. This incident remains under investigation, the public affairs officer told News 3.
