A man was found dead following a shooting in Portsmouth early Friday morning, according to police.
Around 1:25 a.m., police responded to a reported shooting in the 1800 Block of Effingham Street. When officers arrived, a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police.
Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
This was the second deadly shooting in Portsmouth reported by police Friday night.
