VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Thick plumes of smoke could be seen around 4:45 p.m. Monday in the Little Creek area from a structure that appeared to be on fire on our News 3 tower cam.
The Virginia Beach Fire Department confirmed to News 3 that the fire was a residential garage in the 2100 block of Wellings Court.
They said crews were dispatched to the area at around 4:30 p.m. for reports of a fire.

On scene, they said they saw flames and heavy smoke coming from a detached garage behind some townhomes.
The fire spread to two other unconnected garages, heavily damaging two vehicles, crews said.
Crews said the intense heat also dealt damage to the siding and fences of surrounding homes.
