NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A Menchville High School student was arrested and charged after police say they found a gun in a car on school grounds Thursday.
The 17-year-old boy is facing a charge of possession of a firearm on school property, police said. He was not named by authorities.
The gun was found in a car in the school's parking lot, police say. No injuries were reported.
