One dead after house fire in Virginia Beach: VBFD

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — One person is dead after a house fire in Virginia Beach on Thursday, according to the Virginia Beach Fire Department.

Fire officials arrived at the 1200 block of Mozart Drive on reports of a residential fire. Crews say they saw smoke coming from the roof and windows upon arrival.

The fire was put out in about 15 minutes, officials say.

One man was found dead inside the house. No other injuries were reported, according to VBFD.

This incident remains under investigation.
