CHESAPEAKE, Va. — A man died after being found shot inside a hotel room Tuesday night, Chesapeake police said Wednesday.
Around 11:00 p.m., officers responded to the reported shooting in the 3200 block of Western Branch Boulevard. Chesapeake police say they learned a man had been shot hours earlier. He was sent to the hospital, but later died from his injuries.
Esean Powell, 26, of Portsmouth, was identified by police as the person who died.
Chesapeake police will continue to investigate this incident. No information regarding a possible suspect has been provided.
