SEAFORD, Va. — York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has lifted a shelter-in-place for a neighborhood in Seaford after deputies assisted Norfolk police in the search for a shooting suspect.
Deputies had asked residents in the area of Seaford Road and Hansford Lane to shelter in place and asked drivers to avoid the area. There was a large law enforcement presence involved in the search.
A man was seriously injured in a shooting on Colley Avenue on Wednesday night, according to the Norfolk Police Department.
There was a large police presence on the 1500 block of Colley Avenue near Spotswood Avenue on Wednesday night as officers investigated a domestic-related shooting, according to NPD. The victim was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
