NORFOLK, Va. — A person of interest has been detained in a shooting on W Bay Avenue on Thursday night, according to Norfolk police.
Around 5:10 p.m., officers arrived at the 1500 block of E Ocean View Avenue on the report of a gunshot victim.
Police say they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The shooting happened on 200 W Bay Avenue, according to the preliminary investigation.
Police say a person of interest was detained.
